Partnering for success

In May 2019, the Premron Continuous Haulage System (CHS) was announced as one of eight collaborative industry projects delivering new technology into industry with support from round three of the METS Ignited Collaborative Project Funds.

Last Wednesday 11 September, Premron and collaboration partners ACARP, Gauley Robertson, and Kestrel Coal Resources hosted a surface trial and demonstration of their unique technology which is set to revolutionise the underground mining industry.

Facilitating innovative technology like the Premron CHS is part of the mandate for METS Ignited.  The METS Ignited Collaborative Project Funds have enabled Premron to develop and test their unique conveyor system.

About Premron CHS

The Premron Continuous Haulage System (CHS) offers a competitive advantage to conventional bulk material handling in gateroad development in that it carries waste away continuously, and its unique conveyor design reduces dust and enables easy turning capability.

These unique features will provide the mining industry with significant gains in productivity and safety, and have a positive impact in regional areas including an estimated 50 jobs in the Hunter Valley and the Bowen Basin, and $20 million per annum in revenue.
