Congratulations to TEAM Engineering who were announced as Contractor of the Year at the 2016 at the Queensland Mining Contractor Awards in Mackay on 27 July, coinciding with the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME).
The Queensland Mining Contractor Awards recognise project excellence and achievements unique to highly competitive work environments of mining industry contractors.
TEAM Engineering - the overall winner - specialises in heavy engineering, project management and fabrication services to Tier 1 customers in the mining, minerals processing, port facilities and bulk materials handling industries by safely delivering flexible, end to end solutions to the requirements of the specification.
The Awards showcase mining equipment, technology and services (METS) companies which demonstrate operational excellence in relation to quality outcomes provided to mining, exploration and production companies as well as recognise commitment to innovation and the delivery of projects that are safer, smarter, faster and more efficient. Award categories cover time and cost saving, innovation, staff and community engagement, and a category specifically for QME exhibitors – best product launch.

The spotlight shone on Mackay last week (26-28 July) and almost 200 METS exhibitors attended QME to do business with industry and to showcase mining and engineering innovations. METS Ignited’s Ian Dover participated in the Innovation in Mining Panel discussion on day two of QME.
