Improving your competitiveness
Do you need advice, assistance or grant support to improve your competitiveness? The Entrepreneurs' Programme is an Australian Government flagship initiative for business competitiveness and productivity at the firm level, to access advice, co-funded grants, and networks. The business programme has three elements:
- Accelerating Commercialisation - helps small and medium businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers to commercialise novel products, processes and services to the market.
- Business Management - provides your business advice and facilitation services to improve business capabilities and networks.
- Innovation Connections - helps SMEs to access knowledge, engage with researchers and foster innovation.
Accessing capital and finance
Do you need access to capital or export finance to help your business grow? There are a number of industry-focussed organisations that may be able to assist you.
If you need access to working capital to fund an export-related contract, or a working capital guarantee to fulfil an export opportunity, EFIC, the Australia Government's export credit agency, partners with banks to provide commercial solutions and financing options for Australian SMES that are exporters, part of a global supply chain, or are looking to expand their operations overseas.
Read the article published in the July issue of INTHEBLACK magazine about how small enterprises can overcome financial barriers.

Are you considering long-term equity finance through venture capital to build capital for future growth of your company, or private equity to expand your business?
The Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL) is a national association which represents the private equity and venture capital industries, and its membership includes most of the active private equity and venture capital firms in Australia. These firms provide capital for early stage companies, later stage expansion capital, and capital for management buyouts of established companies.
